When I say we, I'm speaking of America, our country. If the dollars budgeted to fight this evil are any indicator, we are not taking it very seriously. Some interesting facts:
1. When it comes to crimes human trafficking now ranks number two, surpassing illegal arms distribution, and on course to become number one, surpassing drug trafficking.

Don't get me wrong, I support fully the efforts of our men and women in the Armed Forces. Our son served in the air force, and we are extremely proud of his service to our nation. I’m for the fight against illegal drugs. But seriously, look at those numbers. Although the issue of human trafficking has received much attention over the last year or two, it has obviously not become a priority for our country. Thankfully, we live in a democracy. We have, in the vote, the ultimate power in determining our country’s priorities. This is an issue that we need to bring before our elected representatives. Join the fight against child sex trafficking with an e-mail to your congressperson and senator.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found this blog. I am a member at Crossroads, where you spoke yesterday. Your message gripped my heart, as well as my husband's. We were very moved and grieved by your message. I just wanted to thank you for coming and speaking at our church and raising awareness about this. ReplyDeleteMy name is Courtney Prather, Iam a 21years old I attend community college and work full time at starbucks. I go to New Life Christian Church, and iam currently serving on the Lords Gym of Yuba County team. I have been called to Cambodia and the missions/needs that are in this country, slave trafficking being my passion. My heart is heavy for the victims and I often find myself crying when I think about the things that are taking place in my everyday minutes, like the minute I'am writting this letter. I want to help. I want to show love to these hurt people and i want to be a hand in stopping these crimes. Whether its helping in the after-math of the rescued sex victums recovery to a new life, helping in the lords gym praying and being a light to the pimps that walk threw the gym doors, or breaking through the brothels on a combat mission for rescue... I will help. God has been proving to me this is my purpose since I had been praying about finding it. The verse that has been stained on my mind the past year is...Isaiah 6:8"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" and in response Iam saying here Iam Lord, send me. Please email back with any information about the november trip to Cambodia, any information about groups that I can get involved with, or any information about how to prepare for a missions trip like such.
